Ministry Updates

Greetings,
May the peace and the grace of God be with you and yours! Our hearts are filled with joy as we write this letter, hoping it will find you in good spiritual and physical health. By the grace of God, our family is doing well. Our ministry is going well also, thanks to our Lord, who leads us with His great wisdom and power.

Last month, we received a couple (Brother and Sister Edison) from our sending church—Atlanta Bible Baptist Church (Decatur, Georgia). The Edisons were here with us last October, ministering to our people and providing great spiritual encouragement for my family and me. They returned to us within three months because they listened to God’s voice. As a result of their obedience, three people accepted Christ at the end of Brother Edison’s preaching. We are happy to inform you that these new converts have been faithful since they received the Lord.

This month, we have received several new families in our church. We have over 30 children and 45 adults in our Sunday worship service (see the link below). We are thankful for Matt, one of our missionary colleagues at ABWE, who connected us with a Canadian organization that provides economic relief to needy children and widows. Early this week, we met with the leaders of that organization. After they visited some of the shelters where our church members live, they agreed to partner with us. They will provide a debit card with approximately $50 US to each family and recharge it every three months. What a blessing!

This semester, I am teaching a survey of the historical books of the Old Testament (Joshua through Esther) at Seminario Bautista de la Yaquita de Pastor, a Bible school located in the Santiago area, about 35 minutes from our ministry. In addition to my role as a professor and pastor of a new church plant, I serve as the academic dean of students for the Bible school. Pray for strength and wisdom as I engage with the student body weekly.
